Groomin' His Way to a Loss

Yeah, eh? What was wit dat Carr guy? Sure, sure, he wantsta' be Brett Favre. What QB in his right mind wouldn't?! But with all the coiffin' goin' on betwixt da plays and such, I 'spected maybe he was aimin' more at a endorsement deal from da folks at Prell than at a victory agin' our Pack. Someone get da kid a barrette. Seriously: I thought removin' one's helmet on da field a play was a personal-foul-type-15-yard-penalty/automatic-touchdown-for-the-opponent kinda' thing. Guess the officiatin' crew was too mesmerized by Carr's gleamin' locks to bodder grabbin' der flags and such. Course, dey certainly didn't have too much trouble wit dat where da Packers were concerned. Cripes, I ain't seen so much unecessary yellow on da field since da last time da Rams came to Lambeau over 7 years ago, when dey were still wearin' dose distractingly bright pants a der's.

And wit dat in mind, we look ahead to da next time da Rams come to Lambeau: Dis Monday night. You can 'spect ta see tons a media coverage, thanks ta 1) da Pack's 5-game win streak followin' dat 4-game losing streak, 2) our last 2 consecutive wins on last-minute scores off da foot of a Mr. Ryan Longwell, 3) Mr. Favre's 200th consecutive regular season start, and 4) da sports world's general fairweather fannedness. So soak it up, Packers fans!

Hey, me and Bob had dis conversation da other day:
Me: Say, Bob...
Bob: Yep?
Me: Just wonderin', how many days is it dat der are in a calendar year?
Bob: Hm. Number seems significant some ways or another... Could it be da same as da number of TD passes Brett's thrown in his regular season career?
Me: Yep, you got it!
Both: 365!!! [High 5]
Now, speakin' a Prell, Bob, dat and your mention of da Emporium reminds me it about time for me ta stop by Mel's for a snip. Lookin' forward to sharing another page in da annals a Packers history wit ya next Monday night! Don't forget ta bring over somma' Margie's leftover turducken.

Happy Turkey Day!
